What is the best way to unshrink a car cover?

I washed and dried my car cover, and when it came out of the dryer, it was too small for the car (it still fits, but just barely). Is there an effective way to unshrink the cover?

My old car has been destroyed by the intense summer heat on the Costa Blanca in Spain and I donīt want my new car to go the same way. I have to leave it at the airport for many months and cannot get covered parking. I was wondering if any of your covers would be suitable? We have high humidity levels here.

Protect against Tree Sap and Cats

I have a new paint job on my 1995 Miata that I want to protect from cats and tree sap. I live near Houston Texas but the car is usually parked under cover. I am specifically looking for a cover that is light weight and not bulky for storage in my 'small' trunk. Any suggestions?
